Occupancy licence or responsible declaration of occupancy
The technical documents for the occupancy of a home cost from €450 + VAT, between €450 and €1,200 depending on its condition and whether drawings have to be drawn up. In Andalusia an occupancy licence (licencia de ocupación) is no longer required in most cases: a responsible declaration (declaración responsable) with a technical certificate is enough.
In Roquetas published prices for this procedure range from €900 to €3,000.

Questions about occupancy licence
Is there a habitation certificate (cédula de habitabilidad) in Andalusia?
No. In Andalusia its job is done by the occupancy licence or the responsible declaration of occupancy. You will find the explanation in our guide.
What if my house has no building licence?
Then the route is a different one: legalisation or an AFO (asimilado a fuera de ordenación). We look at it in the first consultation.
